This is a detail study of a painting by Jan van Eyck. I will be doing a lot of glazing on this painting – I’ve established a lot of the base objects and the glazing will help the colors to pop and will define the shadows. The paint I will be choosing will all be translucent, to allow the details that I added before to show through. I’ll be adding additional highlights on the gems later on.
